CRISPR-U™ Gene Knockout Cell Line Strategy

CCDC6 Gene Knockout Strategy

CRISPR-U™ technology (CRISPR based), developed by Ubigene, is more efficient than general CRISPR/Cas9 technology in double-strand breaking and homologous recombination. With CRISPR-U™, Ubigene has successfully edited over 3000 genes on more than 100 types of cell lines.
To create a Human CCDC6 Knockout model in cell line by CRISPR-U™-mediated genome engineering.
Target gene info
Official symbol CCDC6
Gene id 8030
Organism Homo sapiens
Official full symbol coiled-coil domain containing 6
Gene type protein-coding
Also known as D10S170, H4, PTC, TPC, TST1
Summary This gene encodes a coiled-coil domain-containing protein. The encoded protein is ubiquitously expressed and may function as a tumor suppressor. A chromosomal rearrangement resulting in the expression of a fusion gene containing a portion of this gene and the intracellular kinase-encoding domain of the ret proto-oncogene is the cause of thyroid papillary carcinoma.
Genomic regions Chromosome 10
