CRISPR-U™ Gene Knockout Cell Line Strategy

PPID Gene Knockout Strategy

CRISPR-U™ technology (CRISPR based), developed by Ubigene, is more efficient than general CRISPR/Cas9 technology in double-strand breaking and homologous recombination. With CRISPR-U™, Ubigene has successfully edited over 3000 genes on more than 100 types of cell lines.
Objective
To create a Human PPID Knockout model in cell line by CRISPR-U™-mediated genome engineering.
Target gene info
Official symbol PPID
Gene id 5481
Organism Homo sapiens
Official full symbol peptidylprolyl isomerase D
Gene type protein-coding
Also known as CYP-40, CYPD
Summary The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. This protein has been shown to possess PPIase activity and, similar to other family members, can bind to the immunosuppressant cyclosporin A.
Genomic regions Chromosome 4
