CRISPR-U™ Gene Knockout Cell Line Strategy

PSAT1 Gene Knockout Strategy

CRISPR-U™ technology (CRISPR based), developed by Ubigene, is more efficient than general CRISPR/Cas9 technology in double-strand breaking and homologous recombination. With CRISPR-U™, Ubigene has successfully edited over 3000 genes on more than 100 types of cell lines.
Objective
To create a Human PSAT1 Knockout model in cell line by CRISPR-U™-mediated genome engineering.
Target gene info
Official symbol PSAT1
Gene id 29968
Organism Homo sapiens
Official full symbol phosphoserine aminotransferase 1
Gene type protein-coding
Also known as EPIP, NLS2, PSA, PSAT, PSATD
Summary This gene encodes a member of the class-V pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family. The encoded protein is a phosphoserine aminotransferase and decreased expression may be associated with schizophrenia. Mutations in this gene are also associated with phosphoserine aminotransferase deficiency. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Pseudogenes of this gene have been defined on chromosomes 1, 3, and 8.
Genomic regions Chromosome 9
